Agile Jumpstart Training program Hire

Software, mobile apps, IoT, A.i, technology is all around us! Quality of these applications has been a priority for years. With the introduction of Agile working the way Software Quality is approached has been adapted to automate the software tests as much as possible.

The Agile Jumpstart Training Program for Software QA Developers of ttl.be was started because of the growing need in the market for high-quality Test Automation Engineers. We share all our knowledge, experience and ‘trade secrets’ from ttl.be with the young potential during our sixteen-week training program.

Obviously, not just anyone can participate in this program. The demand for engineers with broad technical knowledge and solid people- and communication skills is growing. We only start with carefully selected candidates, those of who we are convinced will go the extra mile. All Jumpstarters recently got their degree in ICT or just made a career switch and finished a development course. The only real requirement is that they should be tech-savy engineers who are eager to make better software.

The all-in-one program

After an in-depth personal and technical screening, we ensure they’ve got what it takes to start the program with one last challenge. Before they can really begin, they must pass the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level exam after a 3-day training.

We start the Agile Jumpstart Training Program with intensive training in which you get acquainted with all technical aspects of the job. We make sure that the necessary people- and communication skills aren’t left out either.
During five weeks, they are immersed in theory and learn to convert it into a project assignment that is as realistic as possible.
The theory is the theory, but applying it is even more critical. After those five weeks of theory, the focus shifts to the application phase. During those eleven weeks, they work on a project for one of our customers. In this on-the-job learning track, ttl.be guides them to ensure that the onboarding runs as smoothly as possible. For example, we provide extra training on one hand and extra coaching on the other.

Ready for the real thing

After the Agile Jumpstart Training Program, they’re ready for the real thing as a Young Potential Software QA developer.

They will Support the team by ensuring that the delivered software solution not only meets the specific requirements but is also bug-free, performant and regression resistant. Some of their responsibilities will look like this:
  • They’ll be part of your SCRUM development team.
  • They’ll help the team to maintain a quality-oriented mindset and guarantee the quality of the product.
  • They’ll build automated tests with well-known tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Jenkins and many more.
  • They’ll help developers create and maintain integration and unit tests.
  • They’ll perform functional tests.
And as an extra benefit, they can always count on the support of their ttl.be buddy and the knowledge of our entire ttl.be Guild.

The benefits

What are the benefits of working with a Jumpstarter? Well…
There’s a few!

In the 11-week ‘trial period’, the Young Potential starts for you as a consultant.
We are the only one with such long and intensive training. Google that, it’s real!
Finally, they are carefully monitored by us, so they are entirely ready to spread their wings.

The fine print

Fortunately, there are no hidden strings attached, just a few agreements.
Despite the fact that we have taught our jump starters a lot, they will still have some questions every now and then.

Therefore, we ask you to appoint a buddy in the team, who will take the consultant under their wing. Aside from that, we ask that you are also prepared to be in regular contact with ttl.be for updates. All of this for our shared purpose: Making IT better together!
