This three-day course CTFL v4.0 is the latest released version of the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certification. It is the first step towards better software and is a must for each professional in Software Development at all stages of their careers. Everyone can benefit from the breadth and depth of knowledge offered!

The ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification is the cornerstone of essential testing knowledge that can be applied to real-world scenarios. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the terminology and concepts used in the testing domain worldwide, making it relevant for all software delivery approaches and practices, including Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery. This training is suitable for anyone who needs to demonstrate practical knowledge of the fundamental concepts of software testing.

With the ISTQB® Certified Tester Scheme, testing professionals at all stages of their careers can benefit from the breadth and depth of knowledge offered, with the opportunity to pursue higher-level software testing qualifications such as the Core Advanced Levels, Specialist, and Expert Level certifications.

The course provides insight into testing fundamentals and explains the different test levels (or test phases) and types. Different techniques will be presented, and insight will be given into organising, planning, monitoring, controlling and reporting about the testing activities. To conclude, an overview of different test tools will be provided, with benefits and risks and a way to introduce such a tool into an organisation.

This three-day course is the perfect preparation for the ISTQB® CTFL certification exam. This certification is recognised as a prerequisite to all other ISTQB® certifications.

Please note that this course does not focus on any specific project (Prince2® , PMP®,…), development (RUP®, XP, DSDM®,…) or test (TMap®, TestFrame™, STBox™, Testing Intelligence™,…) methodology; the principles taught here can be applied to any existing methodology.
