This three-day course CT-TAE is the latest released version of the ISTQB® Certified Test Automation Engineer certification. It focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of test automation solutions. It also covers the concepts, methods, tools, and processes for automating dynamic functional tests, and the relationship of those tests to test management, configuration management, defect management, software development processes, and quality assurance. Methods described are generally applicable across a variety of software life cycle approaches, types of software systems, and test types.
The ISTQB® Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE) certification is the cornerstone of essential test automation knowledge that can be applied to real-world scenarios. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the terminology and concepts used worldwide in the test automation domain. This training is suitable for anyone who has demonstrated practical knowledge of the fundamental concepts of software testing and who wants to benefit from the breadth and depth of knowledge offered in test automation.
This three-day course is the perfect preparation for the ISTQB® CT-TAE certification exam.
Objectives
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
– Contribute to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process.
– Evaluate tools and technology for automation best fit to each project and organisation.
– Create an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture (TAA).
– Design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet the business needs.
– Enable the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach.
– Create automated test reporting and metrics collection.
– Manage and optimise testing assets to facilitate maintainability and address evolving (test) systems.
Targeted audience
The Test Automation Engineer certification is aimed at people who already have experience in software testing and who wish to further develop their expertise in automation testing.

Prerequisites
To gain this certification, candidates must hold the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate.
Course Outline
The course is structured according to the ISTQB® Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer syllabus. This way, you can relate the course topics to the syllabus.
Course Delivery
The course duration is three days and is organised on our premises in Vilvoorde or Aartselaar (OffiCenter)
Our accredited trainer shares his/her experience in software testing through various real-life examples. Different mock exams ensure that you’re optimally prepared to pass your certification exam.
The course material is in English. The course is in English, although it can be in Dutch in an in-company format. For more information about in-company training, please reach out to us.
All training materials (course hand-out, syllabus, glossary, practical assignments with solutions and sample exams) are provided at the start of the training.
The Exam
The exam can be taken via a Flex (remote) or in an exam centre of choice (Pearson View).
– 40 multiple-choice questions.
– Total points 75
– Passing score 49
– 90 minutes (+25%, if the candidate’s native language is not the exam language).

Pricing
€1.765/person for thee days. All prices include the exam fee, which is subject to change. When publishing, the exam fee is €265 per person. All prices are VAT excluded; course material, lunch and beverages are included.
Cancellation
By participant: if another participant replaces a subscribed course participant or the public course is postponed later, no cancellation costs apply. A participant or group that fails to attend or cancel a course without at least 15 working days’ written notice before the course starts is liable for the total subscription cost. The exam fee is always due.
